Tract 5:   Living on the Edge

It is time to think 3 dimensionally! Students will create sculptures based on Pueblo Indian Adobe houses using a variety of techniques and media.

Tract 1:   Art and the Alphabet

Let your imagination go wild as you learn to use the letters of the Alphabet as a vehicle for your creative expression.
Create whimsical artworks using the letters of your name and other words.
Let images of animals, toys, boats, fruits, summer, etc. come together to create letters.
You will come away from this class with a new appreciation of the alphabet as well as some fun artworks.

Tract 2:   The Magic of Drawing & Painting #2

Continue to discover the magic that is found at the end of your pencil.
Learn to create the illusion of depth and dimension through the use of lines, values, tones, shapes and forms.
Develop your observational skills through a variety of fun drawing and painting projects.
Improve your understanding of light and shadow and how it adds dimension and drama to your drawings.

Tract 3:   Watercolor: Basics and Beyond

Learn the basics and beyond of watercolor through a variety of wet & dry techniques.
From observing still life set ups to creating landscapes, you will discover the joy of watercolor.
You will come away from this class with your own original ready to be framed watercolor paintings.

Tract 4:   The Art of Transfers

Learn how to easily enhance and/or duplicate your photos or artworks onto various mediums, through transfer techniques.
These exciting and easy techniques allow you to transfer images onto a variety of supports/bases such as glass, wood, and just about anything else you can think of.
Use this as a fine art technique (which will be shown) or adapt it to personalized items.
You will learn at least 6 transfer techniques in only 4 classes.
Instructor: Bryan Carson
  • November 28th- December 19th, 2007
    Ages 13 & up, 4 Wednesdays @ 6:00 - 8: 00 PM

Each Tract is only $65 plus $15 supplies fee = $80.00 per student.
