We are located at: Myths & Legends June 16 - August 1, 2008 Only $95.00 per week/per child! Afternoon sessions: (1-4 PM) for ages 9-13 Session 1: June 16 - 20 The Myths of the Nile and the Legends of the Pharaohs will be discovered while learning a variety of sculptural, drawing, and painting methods. Students will create a King Tut mask, miniature clay figures, a personal cartouche and more. Session 2: June 23 - 27 Explore the Myths of the Grecian Gods and the Legends of the Ancient World while creating an amphora, a mosaic, and other art projects involving drawing, painting, and applied decorative arts. Session 3: July 7 - 11 Discover the Myths and Legends of Floridas colorful history using sculpture, drawing, and painting. Students will explore the manatee and mermaid myth and the legends of the fierce Seminole warriors. Session 4: July 14 - 18 The Legend of the Olympics and the Myths of the Eternal Flame will fuel a variety of art projects including a sculpture of an athlete, a stained glass flame, and more. . . . Session 5: July 21 - 25 The Myths and Legends of Medieval Times: The legends of the Age of Chivalry and the myths of dragons, unicorns, and wizards will inspire a variety of creations involving sculpture, drawing, and painting.
