Parents Taking pART The arts are a bridge helping to unite generations and cultures. ArtHaus will use this bridge to increase communication and understanding between adults and children through shared learning experiences. These programs will give students an opportunity to become teachers as they introduce beginning pottery, painting, printmaking and photography techniques to an adult family member. In fact, some students will help develop lesson plans. The students are sharing a part of themselves and what they have learned, while gaining a sense of their full potential. The goal is to engage parents in their children's education and give them the resources needed to get involved.
These programs unite adults and youth. All too often we see parents and children unable to communicate simply because they lack a common interest to discuss. Parents taking pART courses create a shared learning experience, providing a focal point and bonding experience. As we continue to drift toward a global environment, we will look to our families, the people around us and the places we interact to define our identity our significance in the 21st century.

ArtHaus is proud to announce WEE Create, a summer program for ages 3 to 5 years old.
Parent and Child art projects designed to provide a fun, creative art activity for children. As part of our Parents Taking pART program, students must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or guardian to have fun experiencing easel painting, color and shape lessons, and fun take home projects.
